⚠ Indicative tool only. Distinct from the existing API 2000-based Tank Venting and NFPA 30-based Emergency Venting calculators — this is India's own methodology, verified directly against this edition's page images, with its own tables and rate constants. Two things worth knowing: (1) Tables 18 and 19 are keyed by tank capacity and wetted area respectively and explicitly permit interpolation between rows (implemented here as linear interpolation, per the standard's own note); (2) the CMH=220×A0.82 formula for wetted area beyond 280 m² runs about 6% higher than Table 19's own value at exactly 280 m² (22,340 vs 21,000 m³/h) — used here exactly as printed in §C-4.2(b), with the gap disclosed rather than smoothed over.

A tank with a weak roof-to-shell attachment relieves excess pressure by preferential seam failure — no emergency venting calculation is required (§C-4.1). Otherwise: Table 19 up to 280 m², or CMH = 220×A0.82 beyond that (§C-4.2).
