Annex L Storage Tank Data Sheet (API 650)
The API 650 Annex L Storage Tank Data Sheet, filled from the Tank Protocol calculations saved for the tank: shell, bottom, materials, nozzles, wind, roof, seismic, floating roof, venting, hydrotest, levels and anchorage. Each value shows which calculation it came from; the lines no tool covers are entered, cross-tool differences are flagged and blank lines are counted against L.3.1
New here? Read the User Manual — which tool fills which line, overriding a value, the consistency checks and the printed data sheet.
◉ API 650 14TH ED. (AUGUST 2025) ANNEX L · DATA SHEET PAGES 1 – 8 · TABLES 1 – 5 · NOT A REGULATORY SUBMISSION TOOL
⚠ Indicative tool only. Builds the Annex L data sheet of API 650, 14th edition (August 2025), from the calculations saved in Tank Protocol for the same company and Tank ID. Values are taken from the saved records as they are; nothing is redesigned here. The Purchaser remains responsible for the sheet (L.2.2) and the Manufacturer for the lines marked * (L.2.3). Check every line before issuing the sheet.
Identification
Values from the calculations are shown in these units. Text you type is kept as typed.
Summary of checks
Enter the Company and Tank ID, then load the calculations saved for the tank.
1. Calculations for this tank
The latest 2025-edition record of each tool is used. Pick another record, or leave a tool out, from its list. Nozzle tools use every nozzle’s latest record.
2. Data Sheet
Values from a calculation carry its name; typing over one keeps your text and shows the calculation’s value beside it. L.3.1: no line may be left blank; use NA, Later or TBD. Lines marked * may be left to the Manufacturer.
3. Tables 1, 2, 3 and 5
Built from the calculations. Add anything they do not cover in the notes under each table.
4. Tank Plan and Sketches (page 8)
5. Consistency between the calculations
The same quantity entered in different tools should agree. A difference means one calculation was run for another tank or an earlier revision.
Save & Report
Entries are kept on this device as you type and offered back if the page is closed before saving. A saved data sheet keeps a copy of the calculations it was built from.
