The tank vent card below gives a more precise, localized breakdown (0.5m/1m/1.5m) than the Tank Area Classification calculator's Figure 6, which treats vents as part of a broader tank-level illustration — this is §8.2.3.3.1's own refinement, specific to atmospheric vents venting from a Zone 0 source, not a correction to the other tool. Verified directly against Figures 14–19 of this edition.

This is a fixed rule from the standard's own worked example, not a variable calculation — additional locations may need separate classification for other flammable-liquid sources on the berth, or per Coast Guard/other jurisdictional requirements (Note 3).
